SSAA Victoria's Bendigo Branch operates the Marong Rifle Range, catering for rifle, shotgun and pistol shooting. The covered firing line has 24 movable benches accommodating positional shooting; targets can be set at 25, 50, 100, 150 or 200 metres with Rimfire Metallic Silhouettes out to 200m. Air rifles through to Big Game rifles are welcome. The branch runs the Safety And Family Firearms Education (SAFFE) program for new shooters on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 9:45am. Branch also organises hunting trips including weekly fox drives during winter.
