Shooting Club in Currency Creek

About

The SSAA (SA) Goolwa Branch Inc., commonly known as the Goolwa Pistol and Shooting Club, is a welcoming and friendly shooting club available to all regardless of age or ability, located on the Fleurieu Peninsula's South Coast. Founded in 1976 by Athol Carle (its first president), the club is built on a rifle range that dates back to the 1850s. Modern facilities comprise a clubhouse, a 25m rapid fire range, a 25/50m precision range, an indoor air pistol/.177 air rifle shooting range and a 25m metallic silhouette pistol range, plus a modified short-course 'down the line' shotgun shoot held several times a month. Members also participate in longer-range competitions at SSAA Monarto Range 6 (25m, 50m, 100m, 200m) every third Sunday.
