About the Baikal MP-213

The Baikal MP-213 is a side-by-side double-barrel break-action shotgun produced by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant in Russia. It is the deluxe development of the IZh-43 family, chambered for 12-gauge 76mm shells, and distinguished by higher-grade beech, birch or walnut furniture, stainless steel barrels and action, and a removable trigger pack. It is offered with either double triggers or a single selective trigger, and the MP-213EC variant adds automatic ejectors and an adjustable single-trigger unit.

The MP-213 traces back to the IZh-43, which won a gold medal at the 1986 Leipzig trade fair and descends from the earlier IZh-58 and IZh-54 sporting doubles produced at Izhevsk since the 1950s.
