About the Beretta 683

The Beretta 683 is an Italian over-and-under double-barrel shotgun built on Beretta's low-profile 680-series boxlock action. A field and sporting member of the Silver Pigeon family, it pairs monobloc barrels with a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors and a ventilated rib, and was offered in 12 and 20 gauge for hunting and clay shooting.

Beretta's 680-series boxlock, shared by the 683, 686 and 687, uses conical locking lugs and monobloc barrels — an action so durable that Beretta competition guns built on it have dominated Olympic and World Cup clay shooting for decades.
