About the Beretta 76
The Beretta 76 is a single-action, blowback-operated semi-automatic target pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Part of Beretta's 70-series, it was produced from 1971 to 1985 as a dedicated rimfire competition and plinking pistol. Its defining feature is a heavy integral barrel shroud that mounts the adjustable rear sight, extending the sight radius and adding muzzle-heavy balance for precise, low-recoil shooting. The single-stack 10-round magazine includes side load-assist clips for easier loading.
Carried by competitive marksmen and seen in numerous films of the 1970s and 1980s, the Model 76's distinctive shrouded barrel made it one of the most recognizable European rimfire target pistols of its era.
