About the Blaser D99
The Blaser D99 is a premium German break-action multi-barrel hunting rifle built as a modular combination-gun platform. Offered as a Drilling (two 20-gauge shotgun barrels over a rifle barrel), a Duo over-under double rifle, and a three-barrel Trio, it chambers rifle cartridges from .222 Remington and .243 Winchester up to 9.3x74mm R alongside 20/76 shotshells. It uses a vertical block lock, a double-lock system for hesitation-free follow-up shots, free-floating Thermo Stabil barrels that hold point of impact, and a handcrafted Caucasian walnut stock.
Blaser's D99 lets a hunter reconfigure a single receiver from a drilling into an over-under double rifle by swapping barrel sets, and its walnut stocks are graded from 3 to 11 by the figure of the Caucasian wood.

The D99 is Blaser's flagship break-action platform, replacing the earlier D99-generation drillings. Barrel sets are interchangeable and the Duo double-rifle configuration is popular for European driven game and dangerous-game calibers such as 9.3x74mm R. An optional stock-mounted recoil absorber filled with tungsten granules reduces felt recoil by roughly 20 percent.
