About the Blaser K95
The Blaser K95 is a premium single-shot break-action rifle utilizing a Suhl-style tilting block locking system, manufactured in Germany since 1995. At approximately 2.4 kilograms, it is one of the lightest production hunting rifles available, making it ideal for mountain and stalk hunting where every gram matters. The K95 disassembles tool-free into three components (barrel, forend, receiver) for compact transport, and supports Blaser's exchangeable barrel system for multiple calibers. The precision trigger breaks at 600g with a crisp, predictable pull. The manual cocking system - shared with the R8 - allows the rifle to be carried with a loaded chamber but uncocked, automatically de-cocking when the locking lever is operated. Bavarian-style walnut stocks with double rabbet cheekpieces are standard.
The Blaser K95 embodies the European tradition of the single-shot stalking rifle - a philosophy that demands the hunter make every shot count. Its featherweight construction (under 2.5kg) makes it a favorite for Alpine chamois hunters who climb thousands of meters of vertical terrain before taking a single, precisely placed shot. The break-action design also makes it one of the safest rifles to carry in steep mountain terrain.
