About the Browning BT-99
The Browning BT-99 is a single-barrel, single-shot break-action 12 gauge shotgun built specifically for trap shooting, introduced in 1969. It pairs a long 32- or 34-inch barrel with a high-post ventilated rib and an extractor-only action, and uses Browning's Invector-Plus interchangeable choke tubes with a Vector Pro lengthened forcing cone for tight, even patterns on rising clay targets.
Introduced in 1969, the BT-99 became a fixture of American trap fields precisely because it does only one thing: a single high-ribbed barrel and a single shell, with no second barrel or magazine to balance, all of its weight devoted to swinging smoothly onto one clay at a time.
