About the Browning T-Bolt Target/Varmint
The Browning T-Bolt Target/Varmint is a straight-pull bolt-action rimfire rifle, the heavy-barrel target and small-game configuration of Browning's T-Bolt line. It pairs the T-Bolt's fast straight-pull action, cycled by drawing the bolt straight to the rear and pushing it forward into lockup, with a 22-inch free-floated medium varmint barrel and a wide-forearm stock with a raised cheekpiece for consistent scope alignment. The action feeds from Browning's Double Helix 10-round rotary detachable box magazine, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics rather than fitted with iron sights, reflecting its accuracy-focused role. The muzzle is threaded for a suppressor or muzzle device, and the adjustable trigger breaks at roughly five pounds from the factory.
The Target/Varmint takes the T-Bolt's unusually fast straight-pull action, a European layout rare on American-marketed rifles, and dresses it in a heavy free-floated barrel for the bench and the varmint field, where rapid follow-up shots on scattering ground squirrels are prized.
