About the Charles Daly 101
The Charles Daly 101 is a budget-priced single-shot, break-action shotgun imported from Turkey and sold in the United States under the Charles Daly brand. It is a single-barrel, exposed-hammer break gun offered in 12 gauge, 20 gauge, and .410 bore, with 3-inch chambers and a manually cocked hammer. Lightweight with a hardwood stock and steel barrel, it is a no-frills entry-level field, youth, and utility shotgun; higher-gauge models accept interchangeable choke tubes while the .410 typically uses a fixed choke.
The Charles Daly name dates to a 19th-century New York importer, but today it is a brand of Chiappa Firearms - the modern 101 is one of the most affordable break-action shotguns on the US market, often a first gun for new and youth shooters.
