The Charles Daly Honcho Tactical is a compact 12-gauge pump-action firearm built around a Bird's Head pistol grip and a 14-inch barrel. Because it ships with a grip rather than a buttstock and was never configured as a shoulder-fired shotgun, it is classified in the U.S. as a non-NFA 'firearm' rather than a short-barreled shotgun. Introduced around 2020 and manufactured in Turkey, it uses an aluminum receiver that is drilled and tapped, a synthetic forend and grip, a blade front sight, and a 5-round tubular magazine, and is marketed primarily for close-quarters home defense.

The Honcho's Bird's Head grip and stockless layout let it skip the NFA's short-barreled-shotgun rules entirely, putting a 14-inch-barreled 12-gauge in buyers' hands as an ordinary over-the-counter 'firearm.'
