About the Cimarron Thunderer

The Cimarron Thunderer is a single-action revolver built on the pre-1896 Old Model Colt Single Action Army frame and fitted with a rounded bird's head grip. Chambered in .45 Colt and holding six rounds, it was designed by Cimarron founder Mike Harvey to evoke the ornate sixgun carried by Doc Holliday in the 1993 film Tombstone. It is offered with 3.5, 4.75 and 5.5 inch barrels in a standard blue finish over a color case hardened frame and hammer.

The bird's-head Thunderer channels the gambler-gunfighter aesthetic popularized by Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday in Tombstone, making it a staple of cowboy action shooting and Old West reenactment.
