About the Crosman Mark I
The Crosman Mark I is a single-shot, bolt-action CO2-powered target air pistol chambered for .22 caliber (5.5mm) pellets. Produced from 1966 to 1983, it was styled after the Ruger Standard .22 rimfire pistol and built almost entirely of metal, with an alloy outer body, steel and brass internals, and plastic target grips. Powered by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge, it offered a two-stage cocking system with selectable low and high power, reaching roughly 437 fps (about 133 m/s) on high power for around 6 ft-lbs of energy from its rifled steel barrel. Its adjustable trigger and adjustable rear sight made it a popular and accurate target and plinking pistol.
Crosman, founded in 1923, modeled the Mark I and Mark II target pistols on the classic Ruger Standard .22 rimfire pistol, giving plinkers and collectors a rugged, accurate CO2 target arm with a familiar profile.
