About the Daystate Renegade

The Daystate Renegade is a regulated, pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) bullpup air rifle introduced in 2018 by British maker Daystate. It is notable for its Hybrid Trigger Unit (HTU) — the first system of its kind on a high-powered PCP air rifle — which uses a 9-volt battery to transfer trigger movement via a wire to a solenoid that releases the mechanical sears, blending an electronic feel with mechanical reliability. Built around a compact bullpup chassis with a 300cc onboard air cylinder, a fully shrouded and threaded barrel, and a 10-shot rotary magazine, the Renegade is offered in .177, .22 and .25 calibers, with high-power 'HP' versions extending to larger bores. As an export-market rifle it is unrestricted by the UK 12 ft-lb limit, with .22 versions producing in excess of 30 ft-lb of muzzle energy.

Daystate, founded in 1978 in Staffordshire, England, pioneered electronically-controlled air rifles; the Renegade's hybrid solenoid trigger carries that heritage into a high-power bullpup hunting platform.
