About the Diana 240 Classic
The Diana 240 Classic is a break-barrel, spring-piston air rifle chambered in .177 caliber (4.5mm) pellet. Built by the German maker Diana (Mayer & Grammelspacher), it is a compact, lightweight entry-level rifle aimed at youth shooters and casual plinkers. It features a European hardwood stock, an adjustable two-stage trigger, fiber-optic open sights, an automatic safety, and a dovetail rail for mounting a scope. The factory rates muzzle velocity at around 580 fps with light pellets, producing roughly 7.5 joules of energy.
Diana, founded in 1890 in Rastatt, Germany, is one of the oldest continuously operating airgun makers in the world. The 240 Classic carries the brand's traditional break-barrel spring-piston design into an affordable youth-oriented package.
