About the Franchi 2005
The Franchi 2005 is an Italian over-and-under break-action trap shotgun chambered in 12 gauge for 2 3/4-inch shells. Built by Luigi Franchi of Brescia for competitive trap shooting, it was typically supplied as a 'combination' set pairing a 32-inch over/under barrel section (full and improved-modified chokes) with an interchangeable 34-inch single full-choke barrel. It features a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, a ventilated high rib with dual bead sights, and a checkered walnut stock with a high fluted comb.
Franchi's 2005 Combination was a trap shooter's do-everything set: one cased gun with an over/under barrel pair for doubles and a long single barrel for singles trap, letting a competitor cover the whole card without changing guns.
