About the Gamo Hunter Extreme SE
The Gamo Hunter Extreme SE is a high-power, break-barrel spring-piston air rifle produced by the Spanish airgun maker Gamo. A single-cock, single-shot magnum springer, it fires .22 (5.5mm) pellets and is marketed for small-game hunting and pest control. It features a precision rifled fully jacketed bull barrel, a two-stage adjustable trigger, a Shock Wave Absorber recoil pad, and an ambidextrous beech stock with twin raised cheekpieces, and ships with a 3-9x50 illuminated-reticle scope.
Gamo positioned the Hunter Extreme SE as a flagship 'hyper velocity' springer, using its proprietary PBA Platinum lightweight pellets to chase headline supersonic velocity figures in .177 caliber.

One of the most powerful spring-piston air rifles of its era. The .177 version was advertised at up to 1650 fps with lightweight PBA Platinum pellets and around 1250 fps with lead pellets; the .22 version is slower but heavier-hitting. Demands a high cocking effort of roughly 58 lbs (260 N), a frequent point of criticism alongside the heavy trigger.
