About the Glock G35 Gen4 MOS

The Glock G35 Gen4 MOS is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W, produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H. since 2015. This Austrian-manufactured firearm reflects the engineering traditions and quality standards of its country of origin, designed to meet the demands of both civilian and professional users in a competitive global marketplace. Featuring a 15-round magazine capacity, this pistol offers generous firepower for duty use and home defense. The striker-fired action provides a consistent trigger pull for every shot, simplifying training and reducing the manual of arms - a design philosophy that has become the dominant paradigm in modern defensive handguns. The 5.3-inch barrel maximizes accuracy potential and ballistic performance, making this an excellent choice for target shooting, competition, or field use. Weighing 704g (24.8 oz) empty, this firearm strikes a practical balance between manageable carry weight and sufficient mass to moderate felt recoil during shooting. The polymer frame construction reduces weight while providing a textured, ergonomic grip surface designed for secure handling in all conditions. This firearm represents its manufacturer's commitment to delivering a well-engineered, reliable product that serves the needs of discerning shooters seeking quality, accuracy, and dependable performance from a proven platform.

The G35 Gen4 MOS was the swan song of Glock's .40 S&W competition platform. It arrived just as the competitive shooting world was pivoting away from .40 caliber. When USPSA revised its Carry Optics rules to allow 9mm Major power factor, the rationale for shooting the heavier-recoiling .40 S&W evaporated almost overnight. The G35 MOS became a collector's item of sorts -- the last factory optics-ready .40 competition Glock ever made.

The G35 Gen4 MOS was the last optics-ready .40 S&W competition Glock produced. As the competitive shooting market shifted away from .40 S&W toward 9mm platforms, and USPSA Carry Optics allowed 9mm Major, the G35 MOS became increasingly niche. No Gen5 version was produced for the .40 S&W G35, making the Gen4 MOS the terminal variant of the competition .40 line.

This is a variant of the Glock G35.
