About the Heckler & Koch MR762 A4
The Heckler & Koch MR762 A4 is the 7.62x51mm NATO member of HK's MR A4 rifle family, the semi-automatic civilian derivative of the HK417. It shares the series' short-stroke gas piston with an adjustable regulator, cold-hammer-forged 16.5-inch barrel, fully ambidextrous controls and M-LOK handguard, in a slimmer, lighter package than the earlier MR762.
HK's AR-10-pattern rifles trace to the HK417, built for troops who wanted 7.62 reach back after Afghanistan's long valleys exposed the limits of 5.56.
