About the Henry H23 SPD Predator

The Henry H23 SPD Predator is a lever-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington/5.56 NATO that feeds from 10-round Magpul detachable box magazines - an unusual combination for a lever gun. It carries an 18-inch threaded barrel with 1:8 twist, an adjustable match trigger, a laminate stock on a hard-anodised aluminium receiver, and ships with a bipod, aimed squarely at predator and varmint hunters.

Tubular magazines and pointed spitzer bullets do not mix - the recoil can set off the primer ahead. Feeding the SPD Predator from a Magpul box magazine is what finally let a lever gun shoot modern .223 loads.
