About the High Standard Model 200

The High Standard Model 200 is an economy 12-gauge pump-action shotgun produced by High Standard in the early 1970s. A budget derivative of the company's Flite King series and the earlier Model 20, it shares their bottom-loading, bottom-ejecting slide action but with plainer furniture and finish. Beginning in 1971 it was marketed as part of a promotional package that bundled the shotgun with a zippered gun case, a plastic trigger lock, and a bottle of G-96 gun lubricant.

Sold as an affordable entry-level pump, the Model 200 was one of several near-identical shotguns High Standard supplied under different names, including the J.C. Higgins Model 20 for Sears, making it a common budget scattergun in American homes of the era.

Mechanically nearly identical to the High Standard Flite King and the Sears/J.C. Higgins Model 20 built by High Standard. Chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells and offered with 26 and 28 inch barrels (incl. a vent-rib option). Unlike some higher-end pumps, the barrel screws into the receiver and is not quick-detachable.
