About the Husqvarna 1900-series

The Husqvarna 1900-series is a Swedish bolt-action hunting rifle introduced in 1967. Built on a refined Mauser-pattern action with a staggered internal magazine and offered in a wide range of chamberings from .222 Remington up to 9.3x62mm, it was fitted with a walnut Monte Carlo or classic-style stock and a single-stage trigger with an optional set-trigger. Produced by Husqvarna Vapenfabrik until 1970, the design was continued by Carl Gustafs Gevarsfaktori through 1979 and earned a reputation for high-quality machining and accuracy.

When Husqvarna exited firearms manufacture around 1970 to concentrate on chainsaws and outdoor power equipment, the 1900-series lived on under Carl Gustafs Gevarsfaktori, and copies later surfaced from Italy marketed as the 'Viking 1900' and 'SG 1900'.
