About the Marlin Model 882
The Marlin Model 882 is an American bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire. Introduced in 1988, it feeds from a detachable 7-round box magazine and uses Marlin's Micro-Groove barrel, a two-position thumb safety and a red cocking indicator. A grooved receiver accepts scope mounts, making it a popular small-game and varmint rifle until it was discontinued in 2004.
