About the Marocchi Conquista

The Marocchi Conquista is an Italian over-and-under double-barrel shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, built by Marocchi Armi in the Val Trompia gunmaking district near Brescia. Introduced in the early 1990s, it is a boxlock competition shotgun featuring a single selective trigger, selective ejectors, a ventilated rib, screw-in choke tubes and an adjustable trigger. Offered in Sporting Clays, Trap, Skeet and Lady Sport configurations with barrels from 28 to 32 inches, the Conquista was marketed as an affordable alternative to higher-priced Italian competition guns and gained a devoted following among clay-target shooters.

Marocchi has made firearms in the Brescia region since 1922, when it was founded by Stefano Marocchi, relocating to Sarezzo in the heart of Italy's Val Trompia firearms district in the 1970s. The Conquista and its successor the Model 99 earned a reputation as a 'poor man's Perazzi' for offering competition-grade handling at a fraction of the price of premium Italian over-and-unders.

Marocchi Conquista specifications

The Conquista was distributed in the United States by Precision Sales International. The Model 92 (Conquista) was later succeeded by the Model 99, which Marocchi positioned as a lower-cost rival to premium competition over-and-unders, and subsequently by the Model 100.
