About the Miroku MK38 Teague

The Miroku MK38 Teague is a 12-gauge over/under (break-action) competition shotgun built by Miroku of Japan and fitted with Teague thin-wall multichokes, a configuration widely favoured by British clay-target shooters. It is the same steel-framed, back-bored MK38 competition platform as the standard model, but the factory or fixed chokes are replaced with the interchangeable Teague thin-wall system, which allows the shooter to tune constriction for trap, sporting or skeet disciplines while preserving the barrels' wide bore. The gun retains the monobloc barrel construction, walnut stock, ventilated rib and automatic ejectors that made the MK38 a mainstay of clay competition.

Teague thin-wall chokes earned their reputation on the British sporting-clays circuit, and a Miroku MK38 wearing a set of Teague tubes became a quietly favoured combination among UK competition shooters who wanted Japanese build quality paired with the ability to swap constriction stand-to-stand.

"Teague" denotes a Miroku MK38 fitted with Teague Precision Chokes' thin-wall multichoke system rather than the factory Invector-Plus chokes. Teague thin-wall chokes are a renowned British-made conversion; Miroku is a listed manufacturer in Teague's choke-fitment range. Physical specifications follow the standard MK38 competition platform (30-inch/762mm barrels typical, ~3.7-3.9kg).
