About the Mossberg MVP

The Mossberg MVP (Mossberg Varmint Predator) is a bolt-action rifle series distinguished by its ability to feed from standard AR-15 (5.56 NATO) and AR-10/SR-25 (.308 Win) magazines - a feature unique among production bolt-action rifles at its price point. The Scout model, representative of the series, features a 16.25-inch medium-bull threaded barrel with A2-style muzzle brake, an extended Picatinny rail with integrated ghost ring rear sight and fiber optic front sight for scout-scope and backup iron sight capability, and Mossberg's patented LBA adjustable trigger (3-7 lbs). The MVP platform is available in .308 Winchester, 5.56 NATO, and .300 AAC Blackout, with 10-round magazine capacity standard using widely available AR-pattern magazines.

The Mossberg MVP pioneered affordable AR-magazine-compatible bolt-action rifles, solving a logistics problem that had nagged tactical shooters and preppers: the inability to share magazines between their bolt-action precision rifle and semi-automatic carbine. The patented feed system reliably strips rounds from standard USGI, Magpul PMAG, and other AR-pattern magazines, creating a bridge between the bolt-action and AR worlds.
