About the Pedersoli Queen Anne Pistol
The Pedersoli Queen Anne is a modern muzzleloading flintlock pistol manufactured in Italy by Davide Pedersoli as a faithful reproduction of the English turn-off pistol popularized during the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1714). Chambered for a .50 caliber round ball, it pairs a tapered, smoothbore barrel with brass furniture, a walnut halfstock and a bright-polished flintlock. The reproduction is aimed at black-powder enthusiasts, historical re-enactors and traditional single-shot competition rather than any military role.
Pedersoli's version revives the 18th-century 'turn-off' design for today's re-enactors, though the modern reproduction is typically loaded conventionally from the muzzle rather than by unscrewing the cannon barrel as the antiques were.
