About the Perazzi MX2000/3

The Perazzi MX2000/3 is a high-grade Italian over/under competition shotgun chambered in 12 gauge (also offered in 20 gauge), configured for the trap and double-trap clay disciplines. It is a member of Perazzi's MX2000 series and is distinguished by its three-position adjustable ventilated top rib, which lets the shooter select the barrel-to-rib relationship and, together with the adjustable point of impact, tune where the pattern prints. Like the rest of the MX line it uses Perazzi's signature drop-out (removable) trigger group with flat or coil springs, and each gun is hand-fitted with a walnut stock featuring an adjustable comb and a beavertail forend. Barrels are offered in roughly 29.5 to 31.5 inch lengths with fixed or interchangeable chokes.

Perazzi over/unders have been fixtures on the Olympic and ISSF trap podiums for decades, and the MX2000/3's shooter-tunable adjustable rib lets a competitor dial the gun's point of impact to their exact hold, a detail prized by high-level trap shooters.

The /3 designation within the MX2000 family denotes the three-position adjustable-rib trap configuration; sibling models (MX2000/8, MX2000/10, MX2000S) differ mainly in rib type, trigger group and intended discipline. Per Perazzi's catalogue, 12-gauge ribs are offered parallel 7/16 x 7/16 in or tapered 7/16 x 9/32 in, and the frame may be blued with the name in gold or nickel-plated.
