About the Pietta Great Western II Gambler's Royale
The Pietta Great Western II Gambler's Royale is an Italian-made single-action revolver reproducing the classic 1873 Colt Single Action Army pattern. Chambered in .45 Colt with a six-round cylinder and a 4.75-inch barrel, this Gambler's Royale edition is distinguished by ornate Victorian scroll engraving and a two-tone presentation finish that pairs a deep black barrel and cylinder with a polished steel frame, fitted with black wood grips. It is imported into the United States under the EMF Company Great Western II line.
The Great Western II line revives the name of the original Great Western Arms Company, whose 1950s Colt SAA clones were among the first reproduction single-actions built for the post-war fast-draw and Western film boom. Pietta's modern Great Western II carries that heritage into the cowboy-action shooting sports.
