About the Remington Model 511 Scoremaster
The Remington Model 511 Scoremaster is an American bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle. Produced from 1939 to 1963, it fed from a detachable box magazine and was marketed as an affordable plinking and small-game rifle, distinguishing it from the tubular-magazine Model 512 Sportmaster of the same family.
The 500-series .22s were designed as durable, low-cost trainers and plinkers for a generation of American youth shooters, with the box-magazine 511 sitting between the single-shot 510 and the tube-fed 512.
