About the Ruger GP100 .22 LR
The Ruger GP100 .22 LR is a ten-shot rimfire double-action revolver built on Ruger's medium-large GP100 frame and chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. Introduced in 2016, it pairs a heavy 5.5-inch full-lug stainless steel barrel with a ten-round cylinder, adjustable rear sight, and a fiber-optic front sight, making it well suited to target shooting, plinking, small-game hunting, and double-action practice. Its full-size frame and substantial 42-ounce weight give the light-recoiling .22 LR round a steady, muzzle-heavy balance, while the cushioned rubber grip with hardwood inserts and the traditional Ruger transfer-bar safety round out a durable, easy-shooting range revolver.
Ruger answered long-standing demand for a full-size rimfire trainer and small-game revolver by adapting its rugged GP100 platform to hold ten rounds of .22 Long Rifle, letting shooters practice double-action technique on a familiar centerfire-sized frame at a fraction of the ammunition cost.

Ruger catalog designation KGP-22-55, model number 1757. The full-lug barrel and 42 oz weight tame the already mild .22 LR recoil, and the ten-round cylinder gives twice the capacity of Ruger's centerfire GP100 chamberings.
This is a variant of the Ruger GP-100.
