About the Ruger LCRx .22 WMR
The Ruger LCRx .22 WMR is a lightweight, small-frame double-action revolver chambered for the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire cartridge. Part of Ruger's Lightweight Compact Revolver (LCR) family, the LCRx adds an exposed hammer that allows both single-action and double-action fire, unlike the hammerless LCR. It pairs a monolithic aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminum frame with a high-strength stainless steel PVD-coated cylinder holding six rounds, and uses Ruger's patented friction-reducing cam for a smooth double-action trigger pull. Marketed primarily as a concealed-carry and personal-defense revolver, its low-recoil rimfire chambering also makes it popular for training and small-game use.
Ruger's LCR series pioneered the polymer/aluminum monolithic-frame small revolver in 2009, and the LCRx variant answered demand from shooters who wanted the option of a lighter single-action trigger pull for precise shots.
