About the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite

The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle, produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. since 2017. This American-manufactured firearm reflects the engineering traditions and quality standards of its country of origin, designed to meet the demands of both civilian and professional users in a competitive global marketplace. Featuring a 10-round magazine capacity, this pistol offers adequate firepower for defensive carry. The 4.4-inch barrel provides an excellent balance between sight radius and portability, making it equally suitable for duty carry and recreational shooting. Weighing 709g (25.0 oz) empty, this firearm strikes a practical balance between manageable carry weight and sufficient mass to moderate felt recoil during shooting. The polymer frame construction reduces weight while providing a textured, ergonomic grip surface designed for secure handling in all conditions. This firearm represents its manufacturer's commitment to delivering a well-engineered, reliable product that serves the needs of discerning shooters seeking quality, accuracy, and dependable performance from a proven platform.

The 22/45 Lite has become the de facto standard suppressor host in the .22 LR pistol category, praised by the suppressor community for its lightweight frame, threaded barrel, and reliable cycling with both suppressed and unsuppressed ammunition. The extensive range of anodized color options has created a collector subculture around limited distributor-exclusive runs.

The 22/45 Lite uses a tensioned stainless steel barrel inside a ventilated aluminum receiver/shroud assembly, which both reduces weight and improves heat dissipation during extended shooting sessions. The barrel shroud features decorative cuts that also serve as ventilation ports. Multiple limited-edition color anodized finishes (gold, purple, bronze, diamond gray, red, etc.) have been produced as distributor exclusives, making certain colorways highly collectible. The threaded 1/2"-28 muzzle accepts most .22 LR suppressors directly. The trigger is single-action only with a factory pull weight of approximately 5 pounds (22.2 N). The 1:16-inch right-hand twist with 6 grooves stabilizes standard- and high-velocity .22 LR loads. Two 10-round magazines are included. MSRP starts at $759.
