About the Stoeger Uplander

The Stoeger Uplander is a Turkish-made side-by-side double-barreled shotgun built on a traditional English boxlock design and marketed as an affordable field gun. Chambered most commonly in 12 gauge, it features two side-by-side smoothbore barrels with fixed improved-cylinder and modified chokes, double triggers, extractors, and a tang-mounted automatic safety that engages whenever the action is broken open. Imported and distributed by Stoeger Industries, a Beretta Holding subsidiary, it is offered in multiple gauges and barrel lengths for upland bird and small-game hunting.

Stoeger has imported budget-priced shotguns to the American market since the 1920s, and the Uplander became one of its best-known entry-level side-by-sides after Beretta Holding acquired the brand, offering a classic English-style double at a fraction of the cost of European makers.
