About the Walther Reign UXT

The Walther Reign UXT is a German pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) bullpup air rifle chambered in .22 (5.5mm), .177 (4.5mm), and .25 (6.35mm), produced under the Walther brand by Umarex. Built around a fully shrouded, free-floating Lothar Walther match barrel and a smooth Biathlon-style side-cocking lever, its compact bullpup layout is fully ambidextrous and fed by a 10-shot auto-indexing magazine. The onboard 200cc reservoir fills to 3,300 psi for roughly 60 shots per charge in .22, and a crisp adjustable two-stage trigger plus a half-inch UNF threaded muzzle make it a refined platform for hunting and pest control.

Carl Walther, founded in Zella-Mehlis in 1886 and long famed for target and service arms, lent its name to the Reign bullpup, developed with parent company Umarex to compete in the enthusiast PCP hunting-air-rifle market dominated by British bullpups.

Safety

  • Manual safety

In .22 caliber it produces around 33 joules (24.6 ft-lb) at up to 975 fps with lead pellets. The unregulated action gives a peaky shot curve, so the optimal fill-pressure window must be found for best consistency. Succeeded by the regulated, lighter Reign M2.
