About the Winchester Model 141

The Winchester Model 141 is an American .22 caliber bolt-action rimfire rifle produced from 1967 to 1973. Chambered for .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle, it feeds from a tubular magazine housed in the buttstock and loaded through the buttplate, holding around 13 Long Rifle cartridges. A budget-priced sporting and plinking rifle, it was fitted with a smooth Monte Carlo-style one-piece hardwood stock, adjustable open sights and a side thumb safety.

Winchester's Model 141 belonged to a line of low-cost imported and domestically finished .22 rifles the company marketed in the late 1960s and early 1970s to compete for the entry-level plinking and small-game market. Its buttstock tube magazine, a hallmark of older Winchester rimfires, kept the receiver clean and the profile slim.
