BSA No1 Mk3 (29766)

7.62x39

Description

BSA No.1 Mk.3 – 7.62x39 Conversion The Classic Enfield, Reborn in a Modern Battle Cartridge Some rifles are history. This one is history with an upgrade. Here's a Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) No.1 Mk.3 – the iconic British service rifle that carried the Empire through two world wars – rebarrelled and rechambered in 7.62x39mm. That's right: the legendary Lee-Enfield action, now feeding from the same cartridge as the AK-47 and SKS. Why this combo works: The .303 British these rifles were born with is a fine round, but it's expensive, sometimes hard to find, and recoils like it means it. The 7.62x39 is cheap, everywhere, soft-shooting, and devastatingly effective inside 200 yards. You get old-world craftsmanship mated to a cartridge you can actually afford to shoot. Condition & Details: Make: Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) Model: No.1 Mk.3 Caliber: 7.62x39mm Action: Bolt action, cock-on-close Lee-Enfield Magazine: Detachable box Barrel: 21" Condition: Good Serial: 48828 What to expect: The No.1 Mk.3's rear-locking action and smooth bolt throw are the stuff of legend. The 10-round magazine (when applicable) and fast cycling made the Enfield the fastest bolt-action service rifle ever fielded. In 7.62x39, that speed pairs with a light-recoiling round that's a joy at the range and more than capable on deer, hogs, and varmints. Ideal for: Shooters who want Enfield character without .303 ammo prices Hunters wanting a lightweight, hard-hitting woods rifle Collectors looking for an unusual, conversation-starting variant Anyone who appreciates a rifle that's been given a second life Ammo availability: 7.62x39 is one of the most common and affordable centerfire rifle cartridges on the planet. Steel-cased surplus, brass-cased hunting loads, and everything in between. The bottom line: This is a working rifle with a story. It fought in one era and shoots in another. Whether you're after a truck gun, a hog rifle, a bush gun, or just something with more soul than anything you'll find new on a rack, this BSA delivers.
