Description

The BSA Standard Non-Ejector is a traditional British side-by-side sporting shotgun manufactured by the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) in England. Built around a robust hammerless boxlock action, these guns were designed as dependable and practical field shotguns, combining straightforward construction with the quality steel and workmanship associated with BSA sporting arms. This example is chambered in 12 Gauge and features 30-inch side-by-side barrels clearly marked “Jessop's Fluid Pressed Steel.” The barrel flats carry Birmingham proof markings including Nitro Proof and Choke stamps. Both barrels are approximately ¼ choke, providing a relatively open and versatile configuration suitable for general field use. The gun remains in good overall condition for its age , displaying considerable original character. The timber shows handling marks and wear consistent with field use, while the barrels and action exhibit aged finish, patina and areas of surface wear. The original-style configuration, Jessop's steel barrels and Birmingham proof markings make this an interesting example of a classic BSA British sporting shotgun.
