243 Win

Description

Manufactured in Japan by Howa Machinery, the Model 1500 has developed a strong reputation as a dependable sporting and target rifle platform, known for its solid action, straightforward design and excellent value. The Howa 1500 uses a strong two-lug push-feed bolt action with an integral recoil lug and reliable internal magazine system. This rifle features a stainless-steel action and heavy-profile barrel, providing excellent resistance to corrosion while the additional barrel mass makes the rifle particularly well suited to target shooting and varmint applications where consistent accuracy is important.  This rifle is fitted with Howa's HACT two-stage trigger, designed to provide a clean and predictable trigger pull. Chambered in the popular .243 Winchester, this rifle offers manageable recoil, excellent accuracy potential and strong downrange performance. The versatile .243 Winchester cartridge is well suited to a wide range of applications, from recreational target shooting and varmint or pest control through to hunting medium-sized game. The rifle is fitted with a Pecar Optics Australia 2.5–10×50 IR scope, providing a versatile magnification range together with a large 50 mm objective for strong light gathering. The illuminated reticle (IR) assists with target acquisition in lower-light conditions, making this a practical hunting setup. The 2.5× lower setting is well suited to closer field work, while the 10× upper magnification provides plenty of reach for longer shots.
