WW2 Nazi Sporter! Offered for sale is this excellent example of a WW2 Mauser Kar98k which still retains some WW2 Nazi markings & was sent by Czechoslovakia to Israel post war (the Star of David can be seen on the receiver ring) & ended up being converted to .308 (7.62mm) in the early fifties. Since that time it has been chambered for the Dinosaur slaying .308 Norma Magnum, which is effectively a .308W on steroids & similar in characteristics to the .300 WIN MAG. If collected from the shop, you will have 62 hand loaded rounds using the Norma brass to take with you. We are not selling the bullets but simply giving them to whoever buys this. When it was sporterised we will never know but it has been done very well as can be seen in the photos & comes fitted with a clear Tasco 3-9x40 scope. The bore is mirror shiny with plenty of rifling & the safety has been moved to the right side, thumb operated. As can be seen in the photos, there is a slight loss of blueing near the muzzle but it mostly retains the original, high gloss, dark blueing. This is an old school hunter with an interesting past so don't hesitate if you think this is for you. We are not going to try & rate the condition out of 100 as everyone seems to have a different opinion on what the percentages should be, so we'll let the pictures be the description. You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired. Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an 'as is' basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
