Description

The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is a robust single-action revolver chambered in the powerful .44 Remington Magnum cartridge. Introduced as Ruger’s heavy-duty evolution of the Blackhawk platform, the Super Blackhawk was designed specifically to handle full-power .44 Magnum ammunition and has developed an excellent reputation for strength, durability and reliability. Built around Ruger’s substantial investment-cast frame, the New Model Super Blackhawk features a traditional single-action mechanism, six-shot cylinder and adjustable sights. Unlike early traditional single-action revolvers, Ruger’s New Model action incorporates a transfer-bar safety system, allowing all six chambers to be safely loaded when the revolver is in proper working condition. The longer grip frame and substantial construction help make the revolver manageable with the considerable recoil generated by the .44 Magnum cartridge. This handgun is in good mechanical order however it does have some cosmetic damage to the metal finish. It would be suitable for recreational shooting, metallic silhouette competition and sporting use. Key Features: Manufacturer: Sturm, Ruger & Co.
