Crafted in Italy with a tradition of replicating famous ‘wild west’ American guns from the late 1800’s, Uberti manufactured firearms have a reputation for high quality & are collectable in their own right. Offered for sale is this beautiful case hardened Uberti reproduction of the famous Winchester Model 1873 with high gloss walnut stock & deep rich blueing which has been very well maintained as can be seen in the photos, chambered in the powerful .44SPL cartridge. It appears to have a short barrel & indeed it does at just 13.5''. Either this was done by a very skilled gunsmith as the barrel would have to have been reblued along with the magazine tube plus the front sight has been dovetailed, or it came that way which we believe is the case. Looking at the muzzle, it almost certainly left the Uberti factory that way as it has been countersunk as per the standard factory barrels. I'd love to see the flame come out of that at a dawn/dusk shoot! If you're collecting from the shop, we can supply almost 300 rounds to go with the rifle but we can't send unless you pay for the DG freight. The Uberti Model 1873 currently available new has a RRP of around $2,300 but this is not for the rifle offered here & is without the case hardening, gloss bluing & high gloss walnut finish. You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired. Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & these are sold on an as is basis.
