Greener and BSA between 1891-1949, with the left-hand side of the receiver stamped "W.W. Greener Maker Birmingham" and the right-hand side stamped "Commonwealth of Australia." This rifle was issued in Victoria in May of 1908 , with the right-hand side of the receiver stamped "VIC" while the butt stock bears the date "5/08" and the text "Commonwealth of Australia Mily Forces Victoria" in a cartouche.
