About the Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III
The Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III is an Italian over-and-under double-barrel shotgun built on Beretta's low-profile 680-series boxlock action. It is the upper-tier engraving grade of the Silver Pigeon field line, distinguished by deeper floral and game-scene engraving on a nickel-finished receiver and a select-walnut stock. Offered in 12, 20 and 28 gauge, it features a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors and interchangeable choke tubes, and is prized as a refined game and sporting gun.
The Silver Pigeon name harks back to Beretta's competition heritage, when live-pigeon trap shooting was a premier European sport; the engraving grades (I through V) let hunters step up ornamentation on the same proven low-profile boxlock action.
