About the Beretta 688 Performance Sporting

The Beretta 688 Performance Sporting is a 12-gauge over-and-under sporting clays shotgun, part of Beretta's 688 Performance competition line aimed at developing and aspiring clay-target shooters. Chambered for 76mm (3-inch) shells, it is offered with 71, 76, or 81 cm Steelium barrels fitted with a set of five color-banded external Optima-Choke HP interchangeable chokes and a single selective trigger. The black laminated stock with palm swell incorporates Beretta's B-Fast adjustment system for tuning drop, cast, and length of pull to the shooter.

Beretta has been making firearms since 1526, making it the oldest continuously operating firearms manufacturer in the world; the 688 Performance Sporting is the latest descendant of a clay-target lineage running back through the 682 and 680 competition series.
