About the Blaser R93 LRS2
The Blaser R93 LRS2 (Long Range Sporter 2) is a straight-pull bolt-action sniper rifle developed by the German manufacturer Blaser as a precision variant of the R93 rifle system. Its distinctive straight-pull action lets the shooter cycle the bolt with a single push-pull motion rather than the lift-pull-push-lower sequence of a conventional turn-bolt, allowing faster follow-up shots while the cheek stays on the rifle. The take-down design uses interchangeable cold-hammer-forged barrels, an aluminium chassis with a fully adjustable cheekpiece and length of pull, and an adjustable match trigger. Chambered here in .300 Winchester Magnum, the LRS2 was marketed to law enforcement and long-range precision shooters and is closely related to the R93 Tactical and Tactical 2 models.
The R93's straight-pull action was engineered around a radial collet bolt head whose locking segments expand into a groove in the barrel, giving a lock-up as strong as a turn-bolt while permitting the rifle's signature single-motion cycling.
