The Cimarron 1873 Trapper is a lever-action carbine, a compact reproduction of the classic Winchester Model 1873 built in Italy by Uberti for Cimarron Firearms. Chambered in .357 Magnum/.38 Special, it features a shortened 16-inch round barrel, a tubular magazine holding ten rounds, a color case-hardened or blued steel receiver, and a straight-grip walnut stock. The short barrel makes it a handy saddle-gun-style carbine favored by cowboy action shooters and lever-gun enthusiasts.

The original Winchester Model 1873, chambered for pistol-caliber cartridges, earned the nickname 'The Gun that Won the West' and let frontiersmen carry a rifle and revolver sharing the same ammunition.
