About the Glock 25

The Glock 25 is a compact, blowback-operated, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP. Introduced in 1995, it was developed primarily for Latin American markets where civilian ownership of handguns in military calibers such as 9x19mm is restricted. Built on the same compact frame as the Glock 19, it pairs Glock's polymer frame and Safe Action trigger system with a simple unlocked-breech blowback action suited to the lower-pressure .380 ACP cartridge, offering a 15-round magazine capacity and low felt recoil.

The Glock 25 exists almost entirely because of import and ownership laws in South America: several countries there bar civilians from owning firearms in military calibers like 9mm, so Glock built a .380 ACP twin of the Glock 19 to serve that market.
