About the Hämmerli P240
The Hämmerli P240 is a Swiss single-action, short-recoil semi-automatic target pistol built for UIT/ISSF centre-fire precision competition. Derived from the SIG P210 service pistol, it was refined by Hämmerli of Lenzburg into a highly accurate match pistol chambered primarily in .38 Special Wadcutter, with interchangeable barrel/breech assemblies also offered in .32 S&W Long. It features fully adjustable target sights, an adjustable single-stage trigger, and anatomical walnut thumbrest grips.
The P240 project began when Olympic shooters convinced SIG that its famously accurate P210 service pistol could form the basis of a world-class centre-fire target gun chambered for the .38 Special Wadcutter.
