About the Hämmerli X-Esse
The Hämmerli X-Esse is a Swiss .22 LR blowback semi-automatic sport pistol aimed at entry-level target shooting, IPSC sport-pistol competition and plinking. It is the modern, affordable descendant of Hämmerli's legendary Olympic-winning 208/SP target-pistol lineage. The X-Esse features an adjustable two-stage trigger, click-adjustable rear and interchangeable front sights, an ambidextrous polymer 'Universal Hi-Grip', an 11mm optics rail and tool-free disassembly. It is offered in Short (115mm barrel), Long/Sport (150mm) and IPSC configurations.
Though it carries a Swiss heritage name from 'the gunsmith of world champions', whose target pistols swept the podium at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics, the modern X-Esse is actually built and supported out of Ulm, Germany under the Carl Walther/Umarex group after the 2006 brand takeover.
